Founded in post-war Sevilla by Admiral Esteban Rodríguez Alcántara, Apex Armada was built on a singular conviction: that Spain's strategic independence required mastery of its own defence technology. What began as a naval shipyard modernisation programme in 1952 evolved, through Cold War expansion, public listing in 1978, and a succession of strategic acquisitions, into one of the Atlantic world's most respected integrated defence groups.
Today, Apex Armada operates in 38 nations across five primary verticals, maintaining its founding headquarters in Sevilla while running advanced development facilities in Cádiz, Bilbao, Munich, and Toulouse.
